LOCATION -

HEAVEN ON EARTH

The name comes from the word "slime" melted pine resin, which was in some bays of the island, and was used for coating ships. The largest island is Veli Island or St. Clement, which was named after the chapel dedicated to that saint in the 15th century. There are also the remains of Illy.

The view of Hvar from the sea  reveals a row of palm trees and surrounded by seven hundred years old city walls that surround the town.

The islands are a frequent target of hikers, boaters and fans of the original nature and beauty. Sand, pebble beaches, beautiful bays suitable for swimming, fishing, water sports, and the entire archipelago will impress boaters who fail to meet these jewels of nature and Croatian tourism.
